Circumference of the cowl

This cowl is stretchy and can, therefore, be smaller in circumference than your head circumference. The cowl will not be too wide then.
It will vary how stretchy it is, based on which yarn you use.

Arwetta Classic, Filcolana, 80% super wash merino wool, 20% nylon. 50 grams = 210 meters. (Weight: Light fingering)
Tilia, Filcolana, 70% Kid mohair, 30% silk. 25 grams = 210 meters. (Weight: Lace)
1 strand of each, held together.
Other yarn suggestion
Light fingering + lace (1 strand of each, held together).
Fingering or Worsted weight (single tread) that gives right gauge.
Needles
Circular needle 3.5 mm/US 4 (40 cm), or the needle size you need to get the correct gauge.
